When you go to purchase rice you got confused to choose between what actually is Basmati Rice and what is Normal or we can say that Non-Basmati Rice.
And the story doesn’t end here, the lead role is played by our Rashan wala Bhaiya when he replies the one with the long grain is the Basmati Rice and the one with the short grain is non-basmati. This statement which we often hear is not completely wrong but wait! also its not the universal truth.

Non-basmati rice grains can vary in length, but they are generally shorter and broader compared to basmati rice.
Now if we talk about the variation that is seen among the different rice is due to the reason that at what extent the rice has been undergone in . Depending upon these the colour of the all these completely are the end result of the milling process.
2. Aroma and Flavor
Basmati rice is renowned for its distinctive aroma, often described as a nutty or popcorn-like fragrance. It has a subtle, delicate flavour that complements a variety of dishes.
The reason for mesmerizing aroma that can fill the complete the room is a chemical compound name and is found in most rice varieties and according to various research the amount of this is found in more therefore it has the delicious room fill aroma as compared to other grades of rice.
Non-basmati rice has a milder aroma and flavour compared to basmati. The taste can vary depending on the specific variety, but it is generally neutral.
